As COVID-19 continues to impact the world, our business remains open to help our customers.
Our team is uniquely prepared during this unprecedented time to clean and disinfect your home or business according to the protocols set forth by the CDC. The health and safety of our customers is our highest priority during this time. Here are the modifications we have implemented to keep our customers and team members safe:
- Cleaning frequently touched surfaces with an EPA Registered Antimicrobial Disinfectant that meets the EPA’s current criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2. The CDC encourages cleaning of counters, tabletops, doorknobs, and other high-touch surfaces with a hospital-grade disinfectant.
- All cleaning equipment is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after every job for the health and safety of everyone.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (“PPE”) where necessary to work safely and with confidence.
- Using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available.
- Keeping the recommended 6 feet from people.
We encourage our customers to let us know in advance of an appointment if there are any concerns or they would like us to take special precautions. We look forward to continuing our work to improve the comfort and presence of your home or business.
How much do you charge?
We charge by the square foot and condition. Please contact us directly to provide you with a fair and detailed estimate. We hold an honest and transparent pricing policy.
Do you provide estimates over the phone?
Yes. Our estimates over the phone is a way of giving our clients an approximate cost based on the information the client provides us. Please schedule a free non-obligatory in-person or virtual inspection for a most accurate estimate. We’ll take the time to thoroughly inspect your property and discuss your budget, schedule, and cleaning preferences.
Do I need to provide your team with my own cleaning equipment or supplies?
No. We arrive with all of the cleaning materials we need and take them with us when we leave.
Can I get my home or office building clean in the winter?
You bet. We clean year round, and work with the same team, so you will get the same outstanding quality of work in December that you get in July.
Do I have to be present during the project?
No, but you will need to be available by phone.
How do I pay?
Payments are due on the day of your scheduled service. Most of our valued customers leave cash or a check on the kitchen counter, but we also accept credit card payments. If you do choose to write us a check, please make it payable to Kevin's Cleaning, LLC.
CARPET & UPHOLSTERY CLEANING
What method do you use for carpet cleaning?
We generally use a process called hot water extraction, commonly referred to as steam cleaning. Shampooing might be required for the most heavily soiled or poorly maintained carpets followed by hot water extraction. Extraction is used to rinse the carpet and immediately extract the dirt while cutting down the drying time.
How long will it take to clean my carpet?
On average, it will take approximately 20 minutes per bedroom. The amount of time can vary greatly depending on the amount of furniture to be moved, how soiled the carpet is, and any necessary spot removal treatments.
Do you guarantee removal of all spots or stains?
We cannot guarantee that we will remove all carpet spots or stains. There are substances that can permanently discolor the carpet fibers. The age of the carpet and the type of carpet fibers also plays a factor.
How long before the carpet is dry?
Anywhere between 6 to 8 hours. Temperature and humidity play big roles in dry time.
Do you move furniture when you clean carpet?
Yes. There is no charge to move furniture. We do suggest you remove items off of your furniture like electronics, plants, lamps and knick-knacks.
Do you clean upholstery and what is your approach?
Yes. After thoroughly inspecting your upholstery, we carefully pump hot water into your upholstery to release any dirt, then extract the water to remove the dirt. We apply spot treatment, deodorizer, and protector when required. We use a similar method to clean your upholstery as we do with your carpets, so the drying time is essentially the same.
Do you offer car interior cleaning?
Yes. Our interior car cleaning service covers floor mats, gentle detailing for all surfaces, glass cleaner, carpet flooring, and seat extraction for an effective spill and spot remover.
TILE & GROUT CLEANING
Why should I get my hard floor professionally cleaned?
Regular mopping only removes surface soil and not the embedded dirt. We know exactly what it takes to care, maintain, and refinish hard surface floors. We use innovative equipment that allows us to clean and buff your floor back to gleam. Full waxing of newly installed VCT vinyl tile is a specialty.
Is professional hard floor cleaning expensive?
Professional hard floor cleaning can be just pennies compared to the cost of replacing dirty and dingy areas.
Will a professional cleaning protect my floor?
Yes. To prevent permanent damage from occurring, your hard surface flooring requires periodic deep cleaning, buffing, or re-coating performed by a specialty hard floor care professional in order to maintain a clean, attractive, and shiny appearance throughout the year.
How long does it take to get the floor at my home or business professionally cleaned?
For a 300 square-foot area, cleaning generally takes 40 minutes. Time varies based on tile or grout size, and the space configuration.
What is floor buffing? How often should my buff floors?
Buffing is like a deep clean for your floor. It “exfoliates” the top layer of the floor to reveal its original glossy shine. Consistent buffing removes a buildup of gunk, debris, and scratches, which wear down your floor over time.
For commercial spaces with high foot traffic, you can buff floors monthly. You can also buff every two or three months. Our ultimate recommendation is to buff floors no later than 3 months in high traffic areas.
Will a professional hard floor cleaning be disruptive to my family or business?
We will schedule a time that is convenient for you. Our technician will let you know of the applicable dry times needed. There are never additional charges for weekend, evening, or overnight work.
CLEANING & DISINFECT - MAINTENANCE
How often should I have my home cleaned?
We offer regular house or business cleaning on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis. In addition, we are available for special one-time cleans. These include move-in/move-outs, deep cleans, new construction, janitorial services, and occasional maintenance.
Why will my initial clean be more expensive than my other regularly scheduled services?
The first cleaning service brings a home up to a specific standard. That’s why our initial cleaning may take longer and cost a little more than the rest of your services. We need the extra time to properly begin the process of eliminating mildew, soap scum, dust, and dirt from your home.
What is your all-inclusive home cleaning service?
Our all-inclusive cleaning services includes general cleaning and disinfecting of all bathrooms, kitchen and eating areas, bedrooms and living rooms. In particular, we clean and disinfect the following areas:
- Tile walls, bathtubs, shower doors, showers, and toilets
- Kitchen cabinets
- Vanity and sink
- Mirrors and fixtures
- Appliances such as the fridge, microwave, stove, and oven
- Floors cleaned/carpets vacuumed
- Interior windows
- Dusting
